Booked a private room but it wasn’t mentioned that it wasn’t a double bed.

Very nice host, close to the harbor and to the mountain! Great spot

The bed was slightly dirty and the men s bathroom was a bit disapointing but overall is a fine experience for the price

Friendly guesthouse and no frills, but could be cleaned more regularly

Near the bus stop, walkable to the port and near the sunrise peak and coastal walks. So great location. Very friendly staff who do want to help upon request. Simple and no folks value for money Korean guesthouse is what you will get.

Confusion with booking.com and the guesthouse where the listing said it was a private bathroom but it was not. Booking.com's customer service was not at all helpful in trying to clear this up. It could be cleaner. This is common in Korean guesthouses but they don't necessarily clean your sheets and pillowcases between guests. Mine were clearly used but I'm not about to change the practice in all guesthouses in Korea by myself. The room is cleaned between guests but wish it was the same for the bathroom.

A mixed feeling stay

The house is very well located, 10 minutes by walk from Seongsan Mountain and you can easily access the Harbor for Udo Island. Even tho the interior is pretty old looking it was pretty comfortable. Considering the prices on jeju island this stay is still a good deal for a quick trip around this area.

The air conditioner kept stopping during the night it was kind of annoying. And even tho we knew it came from a good hearted place we felt a little oppressed by the host from the beginning as we were tired and just wanted to sleep and he was continuously asking us to go faster and coming back to our room to explain the exact same things he already did before. It was a little too much for the state we were in this evening.

The location was excellent.

Two bathrooms for 8 people: only one had a sink, the “shower” was a hand held that one could use while sitting on the toilet. A plastic pan was also provided. Bedroom walls were not soundproofed. We learned a lot about our fellow travelers.

a good place in a really interesting area

The host was so kind and helpful, he really make us feel like we were at home. The place is near to a lot of touristic area available on feet.

Pleasant stay, for the budget peoples

Owner was quite nice; showed us around personally. Communication wasn't the best but the owner tries his best to ensure that we were well orientated around the house and the facilities. Basic necessities such as a fridge, AC, water dispenser, and washing machine were provided for which was just nice for my stay. There were a few convenient stores around but they closed quite early.

Men's toilet was slightly underwhelming but it was still usable. Beds were slightly harder than usual but still comfortable. As mentioned above, I couldn't communicate fully with the owner hence some things I don't know whether he understood fully what I meant. Apart from it, there was no body soap so do ensure that you bring your own body soap. Walls were quite thin too so we could hear our neighbour's TV and talking from our room.

Multiple problems

The owner was not there to show us to our room at the agreed upon time. We waited for him for 30 minutes but he never showed up, so we finally had to write for him to come. He then tried several times to sell us a more expensive room than the one we had already reserved online. All we wanted by then was to get settled in to go have dinner with our young child. When we went to bed, we found about 20 small dead ants on and in our bed. We told him about the ants and he gave us a different room at no extra cost. The sink of this new room was clogged and some piece of trash had been used to block the overflow. To top it all off, we came back to our room one afternoon to find there was a repairman cleaning the air conditioner filter in our room, which left our sink completely covered in black wet dust clumps and coughed it up even further. We were left to clean it ourselves.
